Promotech Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and commercially aware Electronics & IT Repair Specialist to support both Retail and Enterprise customers across multi-brand devices including smartphones, laptops, desktops, printers, and televisions.
This role requires advanced hands-on diagnostic capability combined with service revenue accountability and direct management of OEM warranty escalations. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong board-level repair expertise, structured troubleshooting methodology, and the ability to contribute to service profitability.
Core Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair smartphones, laptops, desktops, printers, and televisions
- Perform board-level diagnostics and micro-soldering repairs
- Replace logic boards, power boards, display panels, connectors, and internal components
- Conduct BIOS flashing, firmware updates, and operating system reinstalls
- Provide accurate repair quotations and service cost assessments
- Identify upsell opportunities including component upgrades and maintenance services
- Achieve agreed monthly and quarterly service revenue targets
- Maintain structured repair documentation and quality control records
- Manage spare parts inventory and reduce shrinkage
- Ensure ESD-safe and professionally controlled work environment
Enterprise Warranty & OEM Escalation Management
- Manage warranty repair processes in accordance with vendor standards
- Submit and track RMAs and warranty claims
- Coordinate technical escalations with OEM support teams
- Provide structured reporting for enterprise and government clients
- Ensure compliance with vendor service-level expectations
Mandatory Certification Requirements
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Certified Board-Level Repair / Micro-Soldering Certification
- Advanced Hardware Troubleshooting Certification
Preferred Certifications
- ITIL Foundation
- OEM Service Certifications (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Apple)
- Advanced Printer Service Certification
- Data Recovery or Advanced Diagnostics Certification
Technical Competency Requirements
- Multimeter and oscilloscope diagnostics
- BGA rework station and micro-soldering proficiency
- LCD / LED display system troubleshooting
- Power supply architecture diagnostics
- Printer repair and maintenance
- Networking fundamentals for device configuration
- BIOS and firmware recovery procedures
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years multi-brand electronics repair experience
- Demonstrated motherboard-level repair capability
- Experience managing OEM warranty and RMA processes
- Experience supporting enterprise or corporate customers preferred
- Strong documentation and reporting discipline
Commercial & Performance Expectations
- Meet or exceed monthly service revenue targets
- Maintain repair turnaround time within 72 hours for standard jobs
- Achieve first-time fix rate of 85% or higher
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings
- Contribute positively to service margin performance
